I saw this on a really cool blog the other day and decided to copy the idea. Here a partial list of what I learned over the last school year:
- I can appear calm in almost any situation.
- Prayer helps.
- Laughter helps.
- "Yadamean" actually means "You know what I mean."
- My husband deserves my attention and time.
- Camping on long weekends forces me not to work on lesson plans.
- I like to be helped.
- Happy children learn more.
- Reading for enjoyment keeps me sane.
- Lock the door and ignore knocking once in a while.
- I function much better with 8 hours of sleep.
- Yogurt tastes better at room temperature.
- It is possible to do 15 tasks at one time in a classroom of 30 children.
- Cell phones are not necessary.
- I'm happier when I'm warm.
- Steak is a great motivator.
- Sometimes it is better to just go to bed.
- Children want attention more than they let on.
- Ask questions first.
- A comfortable chair is a great reward.
