Learning to Fly

In April, the Columbia Falls Library hosts Big Rig Day with excavator stories and visits from big machinery.  I got to practice driving a grader and a loader this year.  Thanks, library ladies!

Also this April, I joined the Kalispell Parks and Recreation Little Explorers for a visit to the Glacier Jet Center and took a tour of some of the hangers and the machine shop.  My first flying lesson was very brief.  After the short lecture, I got to climb right in the cockpit of the UPS plane!

I forgot to keep my eyes on the runway!
