In June, my dad turned 30. I don't think that's old at all, but he's pretty sure it's quite a milestone, and I like excuses to celebrate him. He and Mom climbed a mountain in the morning to celebrate.
It was a cloudy morning, but did clear up for a brief view of Lake McDonald as they climbed back down Stanton Mountain. They showed us these pictures afterward.
Dad's birthday also is a signal to start looking for berries, which Serena and I have been doing for the past weeks. We started with wild strawberries, and have since found loads of huckleberries and a few wild raspberries.
