Bowman Lately

As I grow, my life is getting faster and faster.  I no longer walk anywhere.  If I'm on my feet, I run.  Really, now that I can, why slow down?  Between running races, I sometimes settle down for a few of the activities that have become my favorites lately.

For example, I've become quite the "mix-mixer."  Whenever Mom is in the kitchen cooking, I like to help out.  I often get a potato or two and a clove of garlic from the bucket where she keeps them.  Sometimes it's broccoli stems and cloves with sticks of cinnamon.  If Mom's working on something really messy, I usually have to settle for my own toys, but still get her dishes.  When she's ambitious, I "push da bread" with her and make my own mini loaf while she kneads the rest of the dough.
When Mom doesn't have to spend too long in the kitchen, or Dad is in charge while she's in there, one of them often takes me to our roof.  Our building has a garage on the ground floor (which I consider my own personal football field), five floors of apartments, and then a flat cement roof.  You may recall that that's where our clothes dry as long as it's not rainy out.  Well, it's also where I cool off as the afternoons start to get hot again.  As soon as we make it to that top floor, I start reminding whoever is with me that I need my, "diaper off" and then I get right to work.
It takes lots of these buckets to fill up a whole wash basin!
Should we turn off Allie's water or Esther's today?
Growing up is pretty fun.  There is more and more that I can say and do every day.  Anyone want to come splash upstairs with me now?
