Summer 2012, Abbreviated

During the summer of 2012, I lived with my entire Davidson family (Most, Mormor, Mishi, Uncle Seth, my parents and my new sister, Serena) in my grandparents new home in Coram, Montana.  In that environment, I staunchly resisted all attempts at potty training, but did get to eat more ice cream than most kids my age.  Mom thinks that's all right since most of it was homemade by my Mishi, who also introduced me to things like agave nectar instead of sugar during the summer.

Of course, The Cabin, which we call the home, is about 8 minutes from West Glacier, which made it possible to do just what we had hoped for out of our first summer back from Dhaka: be in the mountains as much as possible!
Camping in Apgar
sidenote: Check out the fact that we camp with not one, but two, Hudson Bay blankets.

Numa Ridge Lookout with the whole summer family, plus Nate, who we think is part of this group even if he didn't live there for three months

Great Aunt Peggy and Uncle Lorne visited, too.  They taught me to play hide-and-seek with a fun twist.  "Hoo-hoo!"

We definitely hiked a lot, but I got to try some new activities, too.  Dad took me fishing in a kayak on Lake 5.

In addition to all of the family, my great friend Tristan came to visit.  It was his first time in Glacier, and he sure jumped in with camping trips all over the park.

In my opinion, I had to wait way too long for these people to visit, but it was a whole lot of fun camping in Apgar and Two Medicine with my Nana and Gramps and hiking to Granite Park with them.
All in all, it was an amazing summer.  I doubt I'll have another one quite like it, but I know I will get to see lots of friends and family now that I live in Montana and have an extra bed to share with any visitors downstairs!
