Seattle for Easter

Our entire family spent a day driving to Seattle at the end of April.  In spite of Mom's worrying and over-packing bite-sized snacks in plastic Easter eggs in a recycled egg carton, we made it there by 2 in the afternoon and started off our sunny Seattle trip with some time at Green Lake Park.

While we had lots of visits to check off our list (the zoo, REI, Patagonia, Pike Place Market, a ferry), the definite highlight of our five-day trip was the people we got to see.  Mishi Angie had arranged to have all five days off and was tons of fun to hang out with.

Uncle Seth helped Serena and me open our Easter baskets, which included some fun costume paraphernalia.

On Easter, we also got to spend much of the day with Grand Nana who came to Uncle Andy's church to hear him preach and then shared our Easter dinner with us.  It was really fun to have three of her great grandchildren all sitting at her feet while she shared about Easter hats she remembered wearing growing up.

Dad and Uncle Andy liked being with their Nana, too.

I don't get girls.  They just giggled and smiled most of the afternoon on Easter.

Since we left Seattle almost a month ago, I haven't stopped asking my parents when we are going back to see Cedar, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Andy, and Mishi and Uncle Seth.  I do so love being able to visit family!
